  • Mama Dough Pizza — Across Norwood Junction Station or available on Deliveroo.
  • Yard Sale Pizza — Located in Crystal Palace or on Deliveroo.
  • 241 — Great coffee spot near Mama Dough, opposite The Beer Cabin.
  • Portland Arms & The Shilverdean Goathouse — Both are lovely pubs with excellent Sunday Roasts.
  • Timur — Amazing veggie/vegan curry (Crystal Palace).

🌳 Day Trip Ideas

  • Crystal Palace Park — Features old-school dinosaur statues, a maze, scenic spots, and great food & pubs around “the triangle”.
  • Shirley Hills — Huge forest area with a panoramic London viewpoint. Only 5 minutes away by Uber.
  • CroyWall Bouldering — A few tram stops from “Arena” (near the country park). Great for climbing.
  • Beckenham Place Park — Natural swimming lake, kayak rentals, beautiful woods, and a lovely courtyard bar with excellent pizza.
  • Brighton Day Trip — Take the 197 bus across the road to East Croydon. Trains from there reach Brighton in ~45 minutes.
  • East Croydon Boxpark — Features Sluggers (baseball batting cages), axe throwing, and a variety of food stalls.
  • Feed the Ducks — At South Norwood Country Park, only 2 minutes from the flat (marked on the Google Map).

When It’s Hot

  • Keep the flat cool by drawing all curtains and keeping doors closed during very hot days — it really helps reduce heat inside.

  • There is a tower fan downstairs, with the remote in the coffee table.
    During peak summer, we recommend bringing the fan up to the bedroom for extra comfort.

There’s an underfloor heating system, there are two thermostats (one is on the wall next to the bathroom door , another one is in the living room on the wall near the garden door)so you can regulate temperature through

Garden

  • The garden has automatic sprinklers that run at 5:00 AM for 15 minutes. (They are switched off during winter.)

  • A sun shade is available and can be attached to the clips mounted in the garden corners.
    The sun shade is stored under the sofa bed in the office bedroom.

  • Both the upstairs and downstairs TVs are equipped with Chromecast, so you can stream Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, and Spotify easily.

Our standard check-out time is 11:00 AM GMT to allow us time for cleaning and preparation.

Late Check-out: Please contact your host to clarify the possibility of a late check-out. If available, this incurs a fee of £30 per additional hour, with 1:00 PM being the absolute latest time.

Before You Leave:

  1. Please return the key to the lockbox and ensure the numbers are scrambled afterward.

    🛑 A FEE OF £100 WILL APPLY IF THE COMBINATION IS NOT RESET.

  2. Check that all garden and balcony doors are locked and the skylights are closed.
