  • The thermostat must stay within 5 metres of the boiler or it loses signal.
  • It must be placed on the small table near the bathroom, or on the shelf directly above it.
  • Do NOT move it from this area during turnovers.
  • If heating issues are ever reported, check this location first.

The TV is equipped with a Chromecast. To ensure everyone can easily connect their own devices, the Chromecast needs to be reset each time it’s used by a new guest. Don’t worry, it’s quick and easy!
Step 1: Reset the Chromecast
  1. Turn on the TV and press the AV button.
  2. Find the Chromecast (small device behind the TV).
  3. Press and hold the button on the Chromecast for 10–15 seconds.
  4. When the light turns solid white, release the button.
  5. The TV will display “Resetting to factory defaults.”
Step 2: Set Up Chromecast
  1. Download and open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap the ‘+’ icon → Set up device → New device.
  3. Select a home (you can create a new one if needed).
  4. The app will detect the Chromecast — select it.
  5. Confirm the code on the TV and app match.
  6. Connect to Wi-Fi.
  7. Finish the setup in the app (naming the device is optional).
 
Step 3: Start Streaming
  1. Open a streaming app (e.g., YouTube, Netflix).
  2. Tap the Cast icon (rectangle with Wi-Fi lines).
  3. Select the Chromecast (e.g., “Living Room TV”).
  4. Enjoy! Use your phone/tablet to control playback.
 
Tips & Troubleshooting
  • You’ll use your own streaming accounts.
  • Sign out of any accounts if you use the TV apps directly.
  • If needed, unplug Chromecast for 30 seconds and retry Step 1.
To open the window:
  • Find the metal arm on the side (sometimes behind the frame).
  • Press or slide the small latch/button/clip to release the restrictor.
  • While holding the release, gently open the window further.
  • Don’t force it—safety arms can be delicate.
To close the window:
  • Pull the window in using the bottom handle.
  • If it sticks, press/slide the release again to move past the restrictor.
  • Ensure the window is flush, then lock it by turning the knob or latch near the bottom.

Check-out must be completed by 11 AM (GMT) to allow sufficient time for cleaning and to prepare for the next guests. Please contact the host to clarfiy the possibility of a late check-out. If available, a late check-out incurs a fee of £30 per additional hour, with 1 PM being the latest possible check-out time.

Before leaving, please return the key to the lockbox and ensure the numbers are scrambled afterward. A FEE OF 100GBP WILL APPLY IF THE COMBINATION IS NOT RESET
